TMI Love Institute.

2023

01 / The Brief

For my integration assignment, I had to invent and "make" a school. It had to be something that didn't exist yet and we were allowed to go completely crazy. I chose a school to make people's love life's more oversharing with others. I had to brainstorm everything myself, including a curriculum. I also had to make a website for it with an application test.

Technical Breakdown

For the technical implementation, the focus was on seamlessly integrating graphic assets into a functional web environment. I utilized complex CSS layouts to visually support the maze concept without compromising accessibility. The data architecture was designed to display various content types (courses, instructors, enrollments) in a modular way. In addition, significant attention was paid to asset optimization to ensure that the heavy graphical elements are rendered quickly and sharply on every device.

02 / The Challenge

The assignment was to create a fictional educational institution that addresses a current social issue. The biggest challenge was striking a balance between an absurd, almost uncomfortable concept (“oversharing” in relationships) and a credible, professional brand identity. It had to look like an institute where you could actually take classes, despite the bizarre premise.

03 / The Concept

The concept revolves around the “Too Much Information” culture in which we live. The visual identity is based on a maze motif: a symbol of the confusing search for love in a digital world where everything is shared. By using a chaotic yet structured grid and a high-contrast color palette, the tension between privacy and public exposure is made tangible in the design.

04 / The Solution

I designed a complete ecosystem for the TMI Love Institute, including a curriculum featuring courses such as “Public Heartbreak 101.” The solution included a website that guides users through the “maze” of information, physical materials such as course handouts, and a registration system. The website serves as the central hub where the absurd content is presented with the authority of a real university.
